Respect, please.
I’m usually a pretty private person. When it comes to my close friends, I do like to - to use the word - “report” on the interesting tidbits from various days when we catch up. However, when it concerns the deeper, more intimate details, I usually prefer to keep them to myself, and at best, include those very few in on it. Some of the topics that I would rather not discuss with someone with whom I’m only on a “need-know” basis? Details concerning my love life, for example. So please stop getting into my business if you’re not that close with me. I’m not trying to be mean here, it’s just that it honestly makes me feel a bit uncomfortable to have you discussing such matters when it doesn’t even particularly concern you. And - this might be a bit of my fault as well - to those who I confide in, please don’t spread it to other people. That just damages my trust in you, and makes me want to confide in you less. So please don’t. Thanks.
